While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I experienced behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was apparent that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets suffused the entire venue . Reeking of a mixture of human waste, a rotting odor and sour vomit . The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and debris that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The restroom was in even more deplorable shape — clogged , with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human waste .
It wasn’t just a rare instance either. After reading through multiple accounts and speaking with locals , it seems that the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a persistent problem . Many customers have reported spotting critters darting across the serving surface and signs of rats in the storage spaces . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the quality of their products .
